25 Years of ‘The ECB and Its Watchers’ – A Key Forum for Monetary Policy

The Bankenverband Mitte supported this year’s ‘The ECB and Its Watchers’ conference, marking its 25th anniversary as a leading platform for discussions on monetary policy and economic developments.

High-profile participants included Christine Lagarde (President of the ECB), Dr. Joachim Nagel (President of the Deutsche Bundesbank), Isabel Schnabel (Member of the ECB's Executive Board), Philip Lane (Member of the ECB's Executive Board), José Luis Escrivá (Governor of the Banco de España), François Villeroy de Galhau (Governor of the Banque de France) and other key figures in central banking.

The conference provided an opportunity to discuss key issues of monetary policy and financial stability.

Sarah Schmidtke, Managing Director at Bankenverband Mitte, contributed to the discussion by acting as the lead questioner in the first debate of the day, addressing the announcement of a strategic bitcoin reserve for the United States.
