Changes in the Board of Directors of Bankenverband Mitte

- Sabine Mlnarsky elected new Chairwoman
- Mario Mattera, André Munkelt and Silke Roth elected as Deputy Chairs
The General Meeting of Bankenverband Mitte has elected Sabine Mlnarsky, Chief Human Resources Officer of Commerzbank AG, as the new Chairwoman. She will take office on 4 June 2025 and succeeds Mario Mattera, Member of the Executive Board, B. Metzler seel. Sohn & Co. AG, who has served as Chairman since 2021 and is now handing over the position as part of regular rotation.
Mario Mattera will remain actively engaged in the association’s work in his new role as Deputy Chairman of the Board, following his election by the General Meeting. He will be joined by the newly elected André Munkelt, Managing Director and CEO, Morgan Stanley Europe SE and Morgan Stanley Bank AG, and Silke Roth, Managing Director / Head of Market Area Frankfurt, Wealth Management, Deutsche Bank AG. They succeed Stefan Bauz, Deutsche Bank AG, Dr Matthias Bock, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, and Sabrina Kensy, Commerzbank AG, who did not stand for re-election this year.

Sabine Mlnarsky has been a member of the Board of Managing Directors of Commerzbank AG since January 2023. She is responsible for Group Human Resources and Group Organisation & Security. Prior to this, she was Head of Human Resources at Erste Group Bank AG. Her extensive career in human resources management has taken her to Lufthansa AG - Austrian Airlines AG and Erste Bank der Oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG, where she held various management positions in human resources. Sabine Mlnarsky has also been a member of numerous supervisory and advisory boards for many years. She studied law at the University of Vienna and is additionally trained in mediation and conflict management.
